Background

Integrated Humanities (IH) for Secondary 1-3 is a research and development project which adopts a relatively comprehensive mode of curriculum integration in the Personal, Social and Humanities Education Key Learning Area (PSHE KLA) at the junior secondary level. According to the recommendation of the Curriculum Development Council, schools may introduce different modes of curriculum planning so as to suit their students' needs and characteristics.

What is Integrated Humanities in KTGSS?

E.P.A., Geography and History are integrated into this new subject. Students are guided to learn the subject matter with various thinking skills and learning approaches, such as project learning.

Aims -> Students will:

  1. build up their self-esteem and develop self-reflection as well as self-discipline.
  2. set realistic goals and be able to persevere through difficult times.
  3. accept responsibility as committed members of the family and the community.
  4. respect different views and the rights of others.
  5. develop a sense of national identity as well as a global perspective.
