Six students in our school (5A Young Sen Kam, 5A Xu Bo Cheng, 5A Zeng Yu Wai, 6A Chung Yu Tung, 6A Lee Ho Lok, 6A Ng Yui Hong) in senior form participated in the Mathematical Modelling Competition for Secondary Students (MMCSS 2024) organized by EDB and EDUHK. With their teamwork, diligence and sensible application of mathematical knowledge and skills, they are able to tackle an environmental issue, namely estimating carbon emission in Hong Kong in 2030, by using mathematical modelling. In the competition, their paper and final presentation stands out from many of top schools in Hong Kong, and as a result, they won an Outstanding Award, which is equivalent to Championship in the Senior Secondary Category.
